  Noted events in his life were:

• Laqam: Sukles. Also known as Wannu, from Maternal side?

• Profession: Master Grocer, 1939-1970, Rabat, Malta. Worked on the Sugar Cane Farm, with the Abela Family.
They were very hard on the employees.
The owner (she) came back to Malta, she had a hotel in Ghadira.
Her son was a Notary, in Rabat.
The other brother was Joe Abela, a real estate agent. Help Leli Psiala to buy house in canada and get the money from Malta for the sale of the house there.

• Emigration: Emigrated to Australia 1928-1939. Passport vapplication dated 6th January 1928, giving residence as 45 Strada San Cataldo, Rabat, last residence of his mother.

He emigrated from Malta, on the 11th January 1928, on S/S Lubiana a mail ship that went from Syracuse to Malta, registered tonnage of 449 tons, with Mr J Edwards as the captain.

• Residence: 70 Triq ir-Rebha, 1939-1978, Rabat, Malta. First residence was at parents farm in Mtahleb
Also resided in various locations in Australia

• Education: Very basic, 1925, Attard, Malta. A house where intended emigrants, were given basic knowledge in English, to prepare them to emigrate to Australia.

• Prison, 1938. During a period in Melbourne, Australia, he was in partnership with another man, in the running of a shop. It is reputed that they were caught handling forfeit currency. He ended up in Prison. He managed to escape and made a runner to Malta.

Paolo married Sinjura Domenica AGIUS, daughter of Is-Sur Salvatore DINGLI and Is-Sinjura Marija Grazja DINGLI, on 13 Aug 1939 in Rabat, Malta.¹ (Sinjura Domenica AGIUS was born on 11 Feb 1910 in Rabat, Malta and died on 13 Dec 1973 in Rabat, Malta.)
